Good hotel for chilling out. Unbeknown to us we were transferred to Welcome Meridiana. After some help from our capable driver we were taken safely to the new hotel. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise. Welcome Meridiana turns out to be a lovely hotel with lovely staff. The decor is quirky but we liked it. Ours were an all inclusive stay. Every meal had a great selection of food including fish and seafood. Soft drinks were available all the time and wine with lunch and dinner. Rooms were big and spacious with a good shower although the flush in the toilet could be a bit tricky. The beach is two minutes away from our room and plenty of sun loungers around although it was a bit windy and daytime temperature of just between 14 and 17 degrees C. Most of the guests were french but they were friendly. Yes, there were lots of maintenance and updating around the pools and hotel in general but they did not get in our way. There was not much outside of the hotel but my friends and I walked to the next beaches easily. The place to visit is the crocodile park which only about 20 minutes walk away and costs 32.5 dinars. A very nice hotel for chilling out.
We were in july in this amazing traditional hotel. Our experience as daughter mother trip was great. Hotel is so beautiful 😍 Receptionists are amazing 👏 Animation team and services are wonderful 😀 But there is some points that we didn't like but it didn't bother us a lot: 1. U should take in consideration that there is No lift to the rooms. 2. Lebanese restaurant was not at all lebanese, it was disaster 3. Sea view room, you need binoculars to see it 4. A little maintenance around here and there are need it because some parts are falling apart. But we did have a lot of amazing memories ❤️ specially the employees. From the big boss till the newest one. Bravo for your smile 24h/7.
Our rooms air con stank of sewage. After complaining the staff continued to add various strength products to mask the basic issue they didn't fix. Even using a product with dangerous fumes we had to inhale for an evening. In the end we found a work around by being in Africa in a hotel room without Aircon. But at least no toilet smell. The service staff in the restaurants were not attentive at all. Trying to get a table set up that was previously sat at was difficult and ordering a drink after initially being seated was nearly impossible And my final negative. The all inclusive or even incisive plus or what ever they call it. Well it's somewhat subjective. The food was included yes. Cocktails - well that's about 4 that's included. The rest you need to pay. The included ones are kind of undrinkable. A form of alcohol and sickly sweet juice thrown together in any quantity. The bar with a view all drinks paid. Onsite medical assistance you pay. Ice cream outside of dinner time you pay. If you want a different wine to the only one they serve - you pay. Beach towels you pay. Beer, one type of wine and food is included. The rest and absolutely everything else you need to pay That's a lot of negatives if you're still reading and not bored yet. But the hotel can easily fix these. The positives... The hotel animations and entertainment it's probably the best I've seen. Not all of it was for us. But there was so much almost non stop and catering for so many tastes it was really great and superb effort put in The kids club and particularly the mini disco amazing. The evening they had it in the pool was probably our son's happiest day of his life. With the one on the beach being his second. The team were really very very good The food in the buffet restaurants good. High quality. Tasty. And plenty of variety. The hotel pools and slides very nice. All well presented and direct access to a decent beach with inviting sea. Mixed review. Rooms, service staff and what's inclusive or rather the huge amount that's not inclusive is a huge negative but it's such a shame and easy fix as the entertainment, site, pools, food, and kids club as well as the price are really huge positives. Loads of potential to be amazing just let down with details they could work on
