We went in August and loved it: gorgeous property with side views of the lake; kind and helpful staff, and fabulous buffet with enough options to meet multiple dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan with nondairy milks, gluten-free); free beach with watersport rentals (SUP, windsurf, etc.) Do know that the south side of Balaton has shallow water for a long distance, so it feels funny for swimming, but it is great for people who want shallow water really spread out.
Nice hotel with good service. The spa has a variety of amenities and they were able to fit my wife in for a wonderful set of spa treatments. The outdoor pool is nice but too shallow.
Horrible service . Staff sometimes awfully rude. Unsafe- saw three people slip and fall, 2 at the pool and one when the cleaners left the floor wet with no sign. Air conditioning worked on and off despite repeated complaints, on august. Spent 4 nights with little sleep because of heat. Food not good, and we had to ask for everything repeatedly. Charged extra for room keys. Corridors to rooms required card, so if you’re traveling in a group it is highly unfriendly. Above all was disappointed at the unhelpful staff.
