Wellness Hotel Patince

We went there from Komarno with car. Hotel and wellness centre is located in Patince, small Village near Danube. I was surprised that such a small village has that kind of hotel.

At the beginning of our visit, we were already excited to visit this place again, however the longer we stayed, the more dissapointed we were. We stayed in the best apartment with 3 separate rooms+living room, everything was ok, bathroom was not in great condition, sink was clogged, bath was dirty. Personal was amazing, they tried their best but there was major lack of management. If you asked same question at bar and at reception, you will receive 2 different answers. Restaurant at pool was closed from monday without any warning so only option was to eat in main restaurant where you have to Pay 15euros just for main dish. Bar was closed too, saunas are open only for few hours starting from 4pm. Due to lack of communication, we are scared to visit again as more rescrictments can be in place without any notification.

1. On arrival, the hotel seemed ok, but best times were years ago. The surrounding was depressing but not Hotels responsebility. 2. Not enough tables for dinner, dirty dishes stapled everywhere, the food seemed to be thrown in and did not look delicious. Taste was ok, but definitely not, what you expect in a 4-Star-Hotel. Everything seemed, as they wanted to earn money with minimum effort. Staff was friendly but overwhelmed with the amount of people to be taken care of. 3. It was not possible to book a wellness treatment due to the amount of people staying there and masseurs seemed to be understaffed. Additionally the wellness area was closed on Sunday, which is a no go. Again not, what you expect in a 4-Star-Wellnesshotel. 4. No double bed, only 2 single beds pushed together. Room size was good, but tiles in the bathroom broken and mold visible. Hot water and cold water were reversed. Furniture was ok, but from older days. 5. We went to breakfast at opening hour to at least have a chance to get a table and to have a little more choice compared to dinner the day before. It was ok but nothing more. 6. After that, we went to the pool. Pool in general was big. There was 1 pool for children with warm water. The main pool was very cold and only suitable for swimming, definitely not relaxing. One sitting pool (warm water and whirlpool were available too). Unfortunately, Families used these pools to warm their babies and small children up, although there were signs “only suitable for children above 6 years”. Therefore, those were overcrowded and did not offer any chance of relaxation. Lifeguards did not even try to enforce the house made regulations there. 7. Additionally there were child animations scheduled for almost every hour and wellness area also available to not hotel guests (made it even worse) 8. After one hour we decided to cancel our stay 9. Staff at checkout didnt event ask why we left earlier 10. Compared to other 4-Star-Hotels in SK not even worth 2 Stars
