The staff is nice, the place is calm and beautiful, the sauna world is fascinating. Only the guests would once get used to reserving the sunbeds by the pool with a towel.
My three stars are based on the following arguments: Positive experiences: - The staff are super friendly and always ready to help. - The hotel has a cozy and welcoming vibe. - The location, while in a quiet little village, is great for relaxing and getting away from it all. Perfect if you’re looking for some peace and quiet in the countryside. Neutral experiences: - Breakfast is okay but pretty basic. For a 4-star hotel, I’ve seen way better options. - A few small touches could make a big difference in the rooms. For example, there’s only one small bottle of water in the minibar, the bathroom amenities are very basic, and while the candles in the bathroom are a nice idea, there’s nothing to light them with. The negative experience: The walls are way too thin. The whirlpool in the Junior Suite is nice, but it’s really loud. Our neighbors used theirs late at night, and it kept us awake. We could also hear their conversations clearly, even at normal speaking levels. This was a big letdown since the whole point of our trip was to have a quiet and relaxing getaway. Sadly, it didn’t work out because of the noise. Bottom Line: It’s a cute, cozy spot for a countryside escape, and it has a lot going for it. But the noise issues were a dealbreaker for us. All is correct (room, pool, restaurant) but quite bellow standards of a 4 stars hotel. You would for instance expect a/c in the room, much more sophisticated meal for dinner, better breakfast and a much better view. We booked an expensive room with view on the mountains (+30€), we end up in a room on the low level of the near by building with direct view on a wall and not even a bottle of water or any amenities. Bottom line a disappointment for 240€/night.
