We visited for one day trip without sleeping there. Very kind staff good food but it takes time to prepare the food but they said this from the beginning I usually they work in a way that you order before you come. So if you plan to visit their call before and tell them that you are coming and better also to tell then what you want to eat. I saw that they have very nice swimming pools and the view is just great from any point at the place.
While a lovely hotel with a stunning location, I wasn’t personally impressed as a 5 star hotel ( and I am not a 5 star hotel traveller) But still a beautiful stay! Huge rooms and bed and great bathroom (although mine had a sewer type smell in the shower) a decent stay in a stunning location! Breakfast was plentiful and dinner was amazing both nights!
I want to share my experience at Widiane Resort. In just three days, we went through many emotions — from being angry to just accepting the situation. Here’s what happened: The location is beautiful, and the views are really amazing. But sadly, our stay was not very pleasant. We booked the Ambassador Suite, which is much more expensive than a normal room in the main building. The room was not like the photos on Booking.com. It was dirty — the floor, the shower, and the sink were not clean. We asked to change rooms, and they gave us a similar one, but it was also dirty. There were red ants in the room (which can be dangerous), and a stool near the bathtub broke the first time we used it — luckily, we only got a small scratch. I have photos of everything. We asked to change rooms again. This time, they only offered a very small room with a view of a “mountain,” but the mountain was so close that it blocked the whole balcony, and no sunlight came in. We took this room because we didn’t want to stay with ants and dirt. We also had big problems with service. When we asked the staff to come and help us, they always said “5 minutes, someone is coming.” But we waited 30 minutes or more. When we called again, they told us “I haven’t called that person yet, I’ll do it now.” And again, we had to wait forever. This happened more than once, and it made us feel very frustrated. They use golf carts to move through the resort because of the elevation, the staff working these carts are very attentive and helpful. They even bring your suitcase to your room from all the way down the hill. We tried to stay positive and booked some activities. The boat tour was great — I recommend it. The cinema room was okay, but you need to call someone from the staff to help you set it up. It is to difficult to set it up by yourself. The spa was a big disappointment. We booked a hammam for two people in advance. When we arrived, they told us the booking was only for one person. It was a mistake from the receptionist, but they couldn’t fix it. The staff didn’t communicate well, and there were not enough people working. Now imagine this: you pay for a big, luxury room with a lake and mountain view, but you stay in the smallest room with no view and no sunlight. Would you expect a solution from the hotel? A refund? A discount at the spa? At least a small apology? We got nothing. They just said: “No, we can’t do anything for you.” About the food: breakfast was okay. Lunch and dinner at both restaurants were almost the same every day. I saw many good reviews about dinner, but we didn’t like it. The food had no taste, but the prices were very high. However, I must say that the service during dinner was excellent — the staff in the restaurant were very kind and professional. Unfortunately, this hotel experience ruined the last part of our trip. I don’t understand how this place has 5 stars.
