During my two days there on July 9 and 10, while on a business trip to Calicut, I was really amazed. This hotel is conveniently adjacent to a train station. The cuisine is good, the staff is pleasant, and the rooms are large. It was a good experience, and I would definitely suggest this facility to anyone traveling to Calicut for business or pleasure. What most impressed me was the warm gesture from Mr. Sharafu, the manager, who made all effort to ensure that I had a nice stay.I sincerely appreciate your hospitality, Sharafu.

Two days back (Friday), I ordered Hyderabad Biryani from this hotel and honestly, it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. The taste was really bad, completely disappointing. When I asked the staff if they had ever tried this kind of biryani themselves, they said no. I told them clearly that staff should taste the food before suggesting it to customers otherwise, how will customers ever be satisfied? What disappointed me more was the attitude. I paid the full amount even though I couldn’t eat the food, and nobody from the management or staff came forward to acknowledge the issue. No apology, no explanation nothing. Just silence. On the same day, I visited another hotel opposite (I think it was Olive Restaurant) for breakfast. I had fish curry and porotta there. I also had a small complaint, but the chef himself came forward, asked me directly, and even told me not to pay if I wasn’t satisfied. I still paid the bill because I respected his professionalism and honesty. That’s the kind of attitude customers expect. But here in Woodies Bleisure, there was no such response. Even the ladies at the cash counter didn’t say anything. For a hotel in my own hometown, this experience was very disappointing. How can I ever recommend this place to my friends and family? Management and the owner must seriously look into this matter. Customers don’t just pay for food they pay for the overall experience. If this continues, people will stop trusting this hotel.
