Wyndham Residences Santa Marta Aluna Beach Club

The hotel is quite new and nice. The airport is really close (it can be noisy, but it’s not the busiest airport in Columbia) The dinner and bar options were limited maybe because of the offseason.

The hotel is basically new. The rooms are good, bed is comfortable and it has a little kitchen where you can make some food. The only thing is that the basic room is very small. Service was good too, we went to the bar on the pool and they were super attentive and the drinks are delicious. I recommend the margarita de maracuyá, incredible. The beach is super nice because it’s just in front of the sea and they have music and not so many tourist around.

I'm not sure how many friends and family have written this place fake reviews to make it a four star resort! In my opinion, if you want to enjoy beautiful Columbia/Santa Marta, avoid this resort at all costs. First of all, they charged us an additional $300 for an ocean view room and when we got there, they simply said they don't have any ocean view rooms and they wouldn't return our money. As for the breakfast, it was worst than the cheapest, broken down motel and they wanted to charge $25 US for it and they were so unprofessional when they asked for the money. Additionally, the location is right next to the airport but far from everything else. As a whole, the customer service and treatment from the staff was awful and they need to go through serious training. I have nothing to gain or lose from this post, just sharing my experience and opinion. Long story short, if you really want to enjoy your trip, avoid this place.
