Wonderful hotel in a lovely city! Located in the center of the pedestrian-only Old City, this is as absolutely top notch establishment. Our room on the top floor was spacious, elegantly and fully equipped, a small terrace overlooking the square. Dinner at the restaurant was fine dining, and the breakfasts were to die for--a huge array of delicious food. But the most memorable aspect were the staff: consistently friendly, engaging, and helpful. From servers to bell staff to housekeeping to reception, always a smile and a kind word. Can't imagine a better luxury stay in a city that has become one of our favorites.
This is definitely the hotel to stay in when in Slovenia. It is beautiful with the best service anywhere! Everyone that works there knows your name and caters to your every wish. They are genuinely nice people. I worked with the concierge to set up daily excursions in advance. Everything was perfect. The location could not be more central. The city is beautiful with fabulous restaurants. You can easily take day trips to the alps, lake Blen and the coast.
Disappointing Experience with Credit Policy - Zlata Ladjica Boutique Hotel Review I'm writing to share my recent experience with Zlata Ladjica Boutique Hotel, which, despite its appealing amenities, fell short in terms of customer flexibility and understanding. The Situation Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond my control, I had to cancel my May 2025 booking, which had a non-refundable payment policy. I did not request a refund but instead asked for a credit note with a 6-month validity, assuring them of a future stay during a conference in Europe ( have submitted conference registration with paid receipt towards conference fees ). I even offered to pay any additional amount applicable for the next stay. The Issue Unfortunately, the hotel management was inflexible and only offered a 3-month credit period. Given my work commitments in India and the current global uncertainties, planning a trip to Europe within such a short timeframe is challenging. Despite repeated requests, they refused to extend the credit period to 6 months. The Impact This experience has left me disappointed and concerned about the hotel's customer-centric approach. As a traveler, flexibility and understanding from service providers are crucial, especially when unforeseen circumstances arise. The Verdict While Zlata Ladjica Boutique Hotel may offer excellent amenities, its rigid credit policy and lack of customer empathy are significant drawbacks. I hope the management will reconsider their approach to better serve their customers.
