Highly recommend this place. An amazing dinning experience. The staff is super friendly. Throughout my stay they went over and beyond at all times. The food was the absolute best 💯

It was a great experience for the most part. Interesting old hotel with very friendly and accommodating staff. Food at the restaurant was great and well-priced. Staff went out of their way for us. The only issue we had was that at night we could barely sleep because of the main road and cars practically drag racing up and down. Our room faced the road upstairs and I could barely sleep. The shower could also do with a good clean and replacing seals that are covered in black mould, it was a bit gross.

I had a "better" experience than I thought I would have in Paarl. Granted, it was my first ever visit in this town. I arrived exhausted on a Sunday evening and a gentleman by the name CJ Engelbrecht if I recall correctly, was waiting for me. Yes, it was incredibly quite, of which I enjoyed. I think I was the only guest on that Sunday. The breakfast the following morning, was nothing short of what I expected: A farmstyle breakfast...home cooked style. Not a fancy 5star set up. That homemade bread was REALLY good, it reminded me of home in KZN midlands. My advice to anyone coming to this place, open your mind to a different experience. I absolutely loved it! Thank you Zomerlust. PS: I believe, the hotel will be going through renovations in the next few weeks. Cannot wait to see, what it is like. I will brush up on my Afrikaans too, so I can be more sociable with the locals, who were incredibly welcoming to me.
