Cavinton Hotel Malioboro Yogyakarta by Tritama Hospitality

Beautiful hotel located right next to a food court. Located at a very busy intersection, this hotel sits unassumingly at the corner, quietly watching the cars and bikes go by. Inside, you'll be greeted by warm and friendly service staff, all ready with a smile to answer your every question. The food is great, with local and western cuisine available. There is an all day dining area, and a 24 hour lobby so it's great for any late night snacking or check ins. Other amenities are spa service, room service, laundry, and swimming pool. Of note is the Yamas Sky Cafe located at the eighth floor, overlooking the city. It's a themed cafe similar to a famous city in Greece. Food and service is fantastic. Definitely had many dinners there. Great place to stay for business or vacation.

The only thing that saves this hotel is the staff. They are very helpful and always go the extra mile. As for the facilities, this hotel is not a 4 star, even for low standards, although the rooms are fairly clean but are very dated. The bathroom had mould and peeling paint. The staff changed my room and the second was slightly better but not great. Location is good. Ask for a quiet room, as you can hear the buskers outside the hotel even if on the higher floors. They sing from 7am to 11pm very loudly on loud speaker. The spa only offers massages, no other facilities exist. The massage was good. The pool is very very tiny.

Rooms are not clean. We even changed room between first and second night. Second room was cleaner (still not clean) and it smelled bad inside.
