Kotohira Grand Hotel Sakuranosho

Had a fantastic one-night stay at Sakura no Shou Kotohira Grand Hotel. The staff were warm and attentive, making the experience seamless. They even helped me book a restaurant, which I really appreciated. The staff named Peng had a great knowledge in recommending places for us to visit in Nakatado district. I also dined at their Kaiseki restaurant, where May, the waitress, was exceptionally helpful. She served us with great hospitality, making the meal even more enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable, and the overall service was top-notch. Would definitely stay again!

Stayed here for the evening. The rooms are all really nice. Being tall the rooms are adequately sized and I don’t have to worry about hitting my head anywhere nor break my back when slouching over to use the sink. The hot spring baths are superb, water temperature is great. Indoor pool is large which is the lower end of the temperature scale. The outdoor baths are moderate and high temperature. Could only stand the moderate temperatures and below. Dinner was adequate for the price paid. Breakfast is buffet style. Not an exquisite meal but satisfactory. Place is clean, staff are polite, friendly and helpful.

We stayed at the 初音 (Hatsune) for the first time, the room was cozy and clean but one of the outlets seems like it wasn't embedded into the wall properly and looked very dangerous to me and there was a huge crack on the wall, the view from the window was a wall 😓 I thought the block of 初音 was newly built so we were excited to stay (besides, it was pricey), but the room wasn't really nice than I expected.
