An impressive resort, perfect for a calm nature getaway or a grand celebration like a wedding. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, and the staff is very professional, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.

TonyResort is a "concept" -- the cottages are architecturally interesting, the whole grounds is planned and designed, nestled next to the lake. It's a unique place. The "family" units occupy both floors of the cottage, but are not very well designed. Two bedrooms are upstairs (and the stairs are so steep as to be treacherous for young children or elderly guests), but only bathroom is downstairs. There is no kitchenette, so say goodbye to any ideas of preparing a meal for your family and friends and eating it on your balcony with a nice view (grilling is also not allowed!). The air conditioner barely worked, the TVs were outdated and most channels didn't work. On the plus side, the lake is nice, the boardwalk routes through the swamp were very interesting, the breakfast buffet was nourishing and with sufficient selection. The outdoor restaurant dining area is really quite a treat. If you want a "hotel + activities" experience, you might like it here. If you want a "cottage" experience, you may find it lacking.

Very bad for seniors and kids. If you get a room on second floor injuries guaranteed. Very tricky spiral stairs with no handrails. Either book in advance a room on the first floor (but it is not guaranteed that you will get the first floor though) or look somewhere else.
