Make sure to get one of the rooms that is looking out to the sea. The morning sunrise is beautiful... 1201-1205 is perfect for being close to the sea but not too long close.. The breakfast is quite a good spread. There is continental as well as Malaysian cuisine and it taste good.. There is a worry of dengue,the hotel gives u medicated balm to prevent mosquito bites. Soaking in the huge tub with their bath salt was wonderful... Didn't get to see turtles hatching though... There was batik painting as well... Many activities for the young and old... The rooms r spacious with 1 day bed and 1 normal queen size bed. Very comfortable. The staff are so friendly and helpful
We spent 7 nights here with our kids. While the rooms were a bit dated, it was exactly what we were looking for. We love the traditional architecture, and the space was huge and comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone. (If you're staying with young kids or elderly, I recommend booking ground floor rooms as the second-floor rooms require climbing stairs.) The beach was just a stone's throw from our room, which was perfect. We also really enjoyed the breakfast spot. Their lunch menu of fish and chips (made with ikan kerisi) were the best I've ever had, though the price was on the higher side. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a very restful and peaceful holiday in December. :)
Tanjong Jara Resort exceeded all expectations. The atmosphere was incredibly calm, the staff exceptionally friendly and attentive – every little wish was taken care of with genuine care. Our bungalow was always spotless, the private beach was clean and peaceful, and the massage at the spa was just perfect. The food was diverse and delicious, with an absolutely amazing breakfast each morning. A special memory was the traditional Malaysian ceremony held for guests – such a warm and beautiful cultural touch. Highly recommended for anyone seeking true relaxation, authentic hospitality, and a touch of luxury. A peaceful paradise! 🌴✨
