Spotlessly clean, comfortable rooms. Two notes. 1) The rooms have fans but no AC. As I write this, (late May) it's fine. If it was much hotter, it probably wouldn't be. 2) Plaza Garibaldi is famous all over Mexico for its performers. Be aware that it's going to be LOUD. There will be music all night long. If you want a quiet place to rest, this is not the place.
Found this hotel last minute but the location is amazing. The rooms are decently sized and walking out to plaza Garibaldi to eat with mariachis playing is a dream. The breakfast was delicious. My travel partner doesn't care for nopales but said these were the best he has ever had. Our breakfast server, Odily, was gracious and delightful. She was kind enough to find some salsa for us in the back after it ran out. We are here for 7 nights, and after our first night I'm in love with this place.
It’s very very loud. It’s a good location if you want to stay in el Centro but the hotel is next door to a club that plays music till 3 AM. For me, the most important thing for a hotel is to be able to sleep well but it’s too loud. The room we got had a broken window and no hot water. We asked for these to be fixed but I would expect the room to already have everything in place before guests arrive. It’s also very humid in the room. There’s no AC and the air circulation isn’t really good. Would not recommend if sleep is a priority!
