Puerto de Luna Pet Friendly and Family Suites

We made a last minute reservation but were immediately turned off by how we were required to wear wrist bands and weren't allowed to take them off while there. When my husband said if he knew that, he would have preferred to have it on the other wrist, the front desk person shrugged, said, "sorry" and seemed annoyed. While they say they are pet friendly as far as I'm aware they only allow dogs. Saying they are pet friendly while only allowing dogs is misleading. You are also required to keep your dog in a kennel while you are not in the room and wrap a ribbon around your dog's neck. We were handed a bundle of dirty, old, and broken remotes and that was the last straw. We got bad vibes and decided to cancel our reservation. They asked us why which made us uncomfortable and made us wait while they sent someone to check the room even though we were gone for five minutes and told them that we didn't use the room. Luckily, they gave us all our money back.

For a dog friendly hotel not to allow behaved dogs with their owners near the pool is ludicrous. Yet dogs are allowed to bark unattended in rooms without consequences. Their dog park is nothing more than a fenced area piled with tires with plenty of dog poop not picked up . If you are driving through with a dog and need a place to rest for a few hours, this hotel will do.

I do not recommend staying at this place unless you bring your pet. For one night it seemed affordable for us since it was a last minute reservation. Our room was all the way at the top floor and to top it off me and my partner had 2 55lb bag luggage’s to carry all the way to the top and not to mention they have no elevator to go up. I’m not sure if it was bed bugs or fleas but me and my partner kept getting bit the whole night while laying in bed. The next day I woke up with bites all over my body. If I would’ve known about this never would I have booked here. Worst expierence ever. 🙁
