Scandic Narvik

The best Scandic hotel we’ve experienced in a long time. Professional reception, stylish entrance, and a welcoming building. The room was perfectly dark and quiet – extra plus for how spacious it was. Extra bonus for the kettle and fridge. The breakfast was calm and very good. Also close to the small town center of Narvik, and just a stone’s throw from the war museum for those who are interested.

I spent a night at this Scandic hotel in Narvik early July of 2025 having a small single room. A few things, like a shoe horn so useful for older folks and knobs in the bathroom for hanging small laundry were missing. The view over the city, mountains and water from the top floor bar is magnificent. My fifth star is given to honor the reception staff, in particular Aleksandra who was extremely helpful in all matters she was confronted with. There is a nearby expensive parking garage.

It's definitely the best Hotel in Narvik. The rooms are good, the beds comfortable and everything is reasonably clean. The restaurant has a nice choice. Breakfast does offer a nice choice. Pretty annoying is, that the coffeemaker does fail everytime after two or three Cappuccino's. Then nothing with milk cam be prepared. The staff is sadly not very motivated to fix that. They eventually....after a long wait .... they reset the machine, with the same outcome. Check in was great. Check in was quite unpleasant. I did ask the Lady on shift on Sunday for an invoice for both rooms. All she said, was printing a copy of the invoice of the first room. She obviously did rate me stupid. Truth is most probably, that she doesn't know, how to do it. But how can I hand in my expenses with a copy of the first invoice? This would be fraud@
