An amazing experience. Not for everybody, but that's what makes it unique and so different from any other accommodation (having slept anywhere from a forest bare floor to the Banff Springs hotel). If you like architecture, design or simply raw beauty, it will blow your mind. The staff really goes the extra mile. Make sure that breakfast is included with your booking, it’s the “grand finale” and really worth it.
This is an award winning structure, and all of the awards are well deserved. The design is alien at first, but when you get used to it it’s beautiful and inspiring. The service is perfect, the staff goes mostly unnoticed and when you do notice them they are friendly and professional. Your suite includes a garden which is perfect for musing or just reading. Breakfast is delicious and you can have it outdoors facing your garden. I love it that when you leave you get a picnic bag for lunch and instructions for day trips in the region.
This place is utterly baffling in the worst way. Not a simple shelf, coat hook, chair, nothing. For those in search of a way to associate with nature, I encourage a walk in nature over this absolute strange and disorienting experience. I was not sold on having to wash my face or brush my teeth in stagnant water without a faucet. The bed was strangely on the floor and no softer than sleeping on the glass floor.ill give the shower head a solid 9/10 but having to stand on sharp rocks whilst showering was a 1/10. It was also super bizarre to have to use the toilet in a toilet that resembled an airplane toilet. Lastly, mosquitos and the sheer heat of this place were utterly unbearable. If you like waking to the sound of trucks on a highway, well then, this is your place! Truly just the most strange, uncomfortable, and stark experience we have ever had. Would never return. Instead id go camping which would probably be much more cozy and sanitary somehow. Best of luck to all.
