Ye Olde Fighting Cocks

Stayed here for 3 nights and loved this place. A great location, off street parking, and a lovely dual aspect room (White Creek) overlooking the bay and beer garden. The room was a little ‘tired’, particularly the bathroom, but that didn’t detract from the overall experience. Loved watching the trains crossing the viaduct. The bar & dining area is well appointed and all of the staff were super-friendly and efficient. All of the food was great too; from the lunchtime ham & mustard baguettes when we arrived, to good pub food dinners, to home cooked breakfasts. A perfect location for the cross-bay walk and generally enjoying the area. No complaints; a smashing pub/hotel.

Stayed two nights, excellent welcome, spectacular location, fantastic walks from the doorstep, all abilities, leisurely coastal paths or hiking into the hills. Hotel friendly with a great menu beautifully cooked. We had the Steak & Ale Pie and the Sea Bass absolutely delicious. Good wine selection too. Highly recommend.

We've just returned from a brilliant 1 night stay. Firstly, the staff are absolutely amazing, so friendly & welcoming & genuine. Great service! The location is great, with a lovely view over the estuary The decor is lovely & the public areas exceptionally clean The room was very clean & comfortable. A little worn in places but to be expected, excellent value for money Delicious food including the cooked breakfast which rounded our trip off nicely. Thank you
