We had the most wonderful overnight stay at The Elvetham with our dog and couldn’t recommend it more highly. From the moment we arrived, the staff couldn’t do enough for us, warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, especially to our four-legged friend, who was completely spoiled with treats and attention throughout our stay! We had delicious lunch and drinks in the bar area, including some delicious cocktails, before heading out on a gorgeous 5k walk around the estate. The grounds are absolutely stunning and perfect for a peaceful stroll. We stayed in the stable block, which is fully dog-friendly and beautifully done, our room came complete with a dog bed, water bowl, and treat waiting for our pup on arrival. It’s little touches like this that made the stay feel so special. Every single staff member we came across was smiling, friendly, and clearly loved working there. It created such a lovely atmosphere, relaxed, welcoming, and full of charm. Whether you’re stopping in for a drink, a bite to eat, or planning a night away (with or without your dog!), The Elvetham is a real gem. We’ll definitely be back!
Staff are very helpful, nothing too much. Building is beautiful steeped in history. Lovely walks in garden. Points for improvement, a couple of disabled parking bays in the stables courtyard would be helpful. The chairs on the terrace, for the smaller tables it would be useful to have some chairs with arms to help sitting and getting up
Lovely hotel, stayed in a deluxe double. Great room, large bed, very spacious even with cot in room. Low water pressure and didn’t seem to get consistent temperatures. Restaurant was lovely for dinner, and food was great at all meals, however breakfast service lacked a little, particularly on the second morning when it was busy. No offer of the additional cost breakfast items. Damaged tables. Lovely building, shame the soap dispensers aren’t as fancy.
