Lovely friendly hotel. Room was great, extremely clean and brilliant large bathroom, there was scaffolding outside our window but this did not cause us any problem. Hotel was quiet at night.

We stayed for 2 nights and on arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who upgraded us due to being a long term Mercure customer. At the last minute, we decided to stay another night and booked a City Pad room. When we got there, we mentioned that we were having such a nice time that we didn’t want to leave, and Bruno was so kind to offer us the Suite, the best room in the hotel. It did not disappoint. What a lovely experience, thank you to all staff, especially Bruno. We’ll definitely be staying here again!

This hotel has lots of character and is in a perfect location for exploring the city centre. Staff were friendly and helpful. Due to the age of the building, the floorboards are creaky and walls are thin so we could hear some noise from other guests but nothing too bad. The room was quite small but had everything we needed. Shower pressure was amazing. The mattress had a large stain though.
