We had a great stay here! Beautiful hotel and spa. Loved the steam room and sauna! After our meal there was a pianist playing and it was very peaceful sat outside listening. The room was lovely too but the only negative was the bed could have been comfier. Would definitely stay again!
Lovely venue for a family wedding with beautiful outdoor space. The kids loved the giant chess set, football on the front lawn, and the pool. Spa facilities were nice, though not always relaxing for some guests due to children in the pool – dedicated quiet times could help. Room service was mixed: tasty burger and salad, but the cheeseboard lacked flavour and the tropical Eton Mess was mostly apple and cream. Good breakfast selection, though the black pudding was rubbery.
Stayed at Albrighton Hall & Spa Hotel in Shrewsbury for one night on 26th July 2025. Overall, the experience was mixed. On the positive side, check-in was smooth with polite and helpful staff. Our room was in the stable wing, nicely tucked away from the main building – a good size and set in lovely grounds. The location is great, with free parking available. Breakfast was enjoyable – good quality produce, plenty of choice, and excellent service from the waiting staff. The shower was great, and the complimentary toiletries were appreciated. However, there were a few letdowns. The spa was closed on the day of our arrival, which was disappointing as we specifically chose this hotel for its spa facilities. There was no notice of this closure when booking, which would’ve helped manage expectations. The room lacked a generous supply of tea, coffee, and milk. We were on the ground floor and unfortunately had a pet-friendly room above us, where a dog was running around during the night, causing a lot of noise – not ideal for light sleepers. Additionally, the main doors being slammed by other guests disturbed our sleep, though this isn’t directly the hotel’s fault. Another small point: the breakfast plates were cold, which meant the food cooled quickly – keeping the plates warm would be a simple improvement. I would consider staying again, but I do feel the hotel should better communicate any unavailable facilities in advance, and perhaps consider allocating pet-friendly rooms on the ground floor to avoid noise issues for guests below.
