What an absolutely stunning place. We arrived after general check in, so had to find the room ourselves, which was no problem as the hotel sent over emails and video guides, keys in a lock box. Soon as we opened the squeaky front door I knew I would love staying in a place with such character. We enjoyed the pool and hottub, LOVED the booking system for them both, knowing we could have them just for us!!As a family of 5 the apartment we had was the perfect size. We only stayed one night, as we were travelling to Scotland, but would happily use Sutton Hall when we want to explore York child free as its gorgeous for couples too! I gave 5 stars for service, because despite never meeting Oliver he handle my booking (and MANY questions) with pure professionalism, and when I checked out the lady on reception (I didn't catch her name!sorry!) was so polite as we checked out, confirming we checked in ok and we're happy with our stay! So glad I found this gorgeous place to stay in!
Stayed at Sutton Hall Resort for a relaxing overnight getaway just after Valentine's, and it was perfect! The room we stayed in was like a mini apartment – complete with a kitchenette, living room, and spacious bedroom. Booking the facilities (pool, hot tub and sauna) online was super easy, and the resort's proximity to Thirsk made it convenient for a lovely evening bite. Overall, a fantastic, peaceful retreat – would definitely recommend!
