I am leaving my review for the dining experience ( breakfast buffet) that my friend and I had yesterday with Vana as our server. She was attentive , and because we asked a favor to take a picture of us while dining, she offered a better idea to have the picture taken outside for a better background. Although she was not that smiley or cheerful, she did did her role with the ‘extras.’ The place is neat and evokes a serene ambiance. A note on the breakfast spread - it was fresh , but basic and dull in presentation and selection. Please upgrade that part. Thank you!

Rooms were good and clean. Location was great with nice scenery on the Saginaw River. Staff was super friendly. Unfortunately, the $16 breakfast only had the basics - eggs, meat, oatmeal, fruit, muffins. No sweet stuff: pancakes, waffles, French toast, doughnuts, etc. Usually, we get that for free. Staying with 3 teenage boys that puts a damper on things and a cost of questionable value. Next time we may return but plan for breakfast elsewhere for a better value and happier kids. 😉

DISHONEST THIEF IN HOUSEKEEPING! I called shortly after checkout to notify housekeeping and front desk management that I left my jewelry on the bathroom counter. I went back on-site to the property 2 more times to speak with management. I also spoke with the General Manager, Jamie, before leaving Michigan. She knew nothing about the incident. I was promised by the front desk management team that the GM would be notified immediately. While I am ultimately responsible for forgetting the items, it is housekeeping's duty as a hotel employee to turn in ALL belongings to lost and found. I even spoke with the housekeeper that morning. I wish I would have looked at her name tag. Extremely disappointing end to an otherwise good trip back to my home State.
