My friends and I love this place. We have be coming yearly for the past 5 years. This year was very different from the years before on the beach. John is a new waiter on the beach and he never stops. We had constant water, ice and drinks coming all day every day and he has a fun personality. You can tell he loves his job. The only complaint I have is there is only one bar tender so sometimes it takes a bit to get your order as well as it takes a long time to get your food order. Otherwise this is a wonderful place to stay!

A great hotel with an excellent location on the ocean. Staff greeted us and was friendly and helpful from the start and throughout our stay. The location gives a large and mostly quiet beach area to sit and enjoy, and also a nice pool area with a small lazy river. The hotel is an older one with lovely exterior architecture and a wide porch to sit on by the ocean. They have worked to update and upgrade the rooms which are nice and modern looking, but are limited in some ways by the older set up. Small things like the shower head not pointing very far into the shower, or the some of the electrical setup being odd so it can take trial and error to make the switches do what you want. While these didn't detract from the stay, it isn't what you might experience in a new hotel but is part of the experience. On site food is very good and worth enjoying without having to leave for meals. If you do leave, there are many options a short ride away. Overall this is a great resort by the water and one I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice hotel with a more quiet vibe than down by the large group of hotels in Ft. Lauderdale. Prices are reasonable and the charm and service help elevate it. Well worth looking into for couples or small families planning to stay in the area.
