We had an amazing stay at The Ambassador Waikiki! The 2 queen bed room was spacious. The bathroom was a bit smaller than we expected, but honestly, not a big deal. We’d take the extra space in the room any day. We were on the 14th floor with a partial ocean view and a cute little balcony, perfect for drying swimsuits and beach towels after beach days. We spent most of our time out exploring the beautiful island of Oahu, and this hotel gave us exactly what we needed for the price: a clean, safe place with comfy beds to rest between adventures. If you’re looking for a full resort experience, this might not be it, but they do have a cute pool lounge area and a small gym that’s open 24/7 (which was great when I was jetlagged and up at 4 AM lol). It’s valet parking only, which I was hesitant about at first, but the team was so fast and efficient, we never had to wait for our car. Honestly, the valet crew really made our stay. Huge shoutout to Pierre and Kalena for being so kind and giving us awesome local tips! The front desk was super accommodating too. Big thanks to Chereen for all your help, even after we checked out! You all made our first trip to Hawaii extra special. Mahalo!

Nice refresh to the old ambassador hotel. Very vibrant decor and soothing colors in the rooms. However, the room was tiny, wallpaper was already peeling, and the AC was rather finicky. I called when I first checked in since it wasn't working only to find out the filter hasn't been cleaned. Also, I had to slam the Lanai door a few times to get it back on. As a gold member, I typically get a nicer room, but this one had a great view of the low rise next door. I did like the quiet though. Since the room was so small, there is no chair, so if you need to eat or drink, gotta do it in bed. The app screwed up my reservation, got locked out , late checkout didn't happen as requested, housekeeping only came on request despite being scheduled every two days, and bartender poured single shots rather than doubles as I later found. Creative use of the small space although the toilet was right beside the wall. Was looking forward to relaxing break away from work but had to tend to new problems everyday. Even had problems on checkout as my adjustment didn't save in the computer. Don't expect a functioning Hilton experience with this property at least for another year. Will not recommend to my customers/clients.

Extremely disappointing stay – not worth the price Our experience at this hotel was truly disappointing from start to finish. The rooms are shockingly small – we booked a room for four people, yet the bathroom was barely 2 square meters. It was completely impractical and uncomfortable for a family. The staff was unhelpful and unfriendly. We reported a repetitive and disturbing noise that kept us awake all night. Although we mentioned it to the front desk, nothing was done. When we brought it up again the next morning, the only answer we got was that it had been passed on to the engineer, but they hadn’t received any feedback. No apology, no effort to follow up, and absolutely no empathy – it was clear they simply didn’t care. Especially Annamaria, Ambassador of Hiking who work at the front desk. For the price we paid, this is absolutely unacceptable. The hotel is not well located – a bit removed from the heart of Waikiki. The pool, although visually appealing, is small and poorly maintained. The pool chairs are paid access, and no staff were present to assist during our visit. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. It felt like a tourist trap – overpriced, poorly managed, and lacking basic hospitality standards.
