Great central location. I booked online after hours after the front desk closed so my key wasn't ready for me in the afternoon hours box when I arrived that night. The staff was super helpful and sent someone over to help me get into my room. Despite the inconvenience they were all so friendly and nice. The hotel and rooms are nice and clean. Convenient mini fridge, a TV, and comfy bed. The rooms don't have the best window view but the mountains are visible from the hot tub!
The service is outstanding! The front desk ladies went above and beyond to help our group with various requests. The rooms are small, but the beds are comfortable and the AC works well. Blackout shades, good water pressure, nice sheets, etc. Everything we needed!
Pros: The service is incredible. The ladies who work the front desk were so nice and amenable to us. I can't say that enough - those women are gems! The location is in a great spot and we loved the free parking. The shower has great pressure. Cons: The room was easily one of the dingiest I've ever stayed in - if not, the dingiest. Our view was of the parking lot but that wasn't even the worst issue. Within an hour after we checked in, I had to plunge the toilet after it got backed up and a plunger/someone to handle this issue wasn't readily available. Our toilet wasn't even fully screwed into the floor and it felt like one was sitting at a wobbly table during your constitutionals. This incident took time to resolve but fortunately, my efforts were rewarded and the waters receded. However, the rest of the weekend had us fearful of the old pipes and we found the toilet would be running at different times. This was also when I found a used plastic cup a prior tenant had left over the sink that I guess housekeeping forgot as well. The bed was woefully small - note to reader: if you are sharing a bed with your partner and you are both 5'10" or taller, you're not going to have an easy time of it. We had stale cookies repurposed from the first night for our second night 'snack' the hotel offers. The pictures online are very different from what you get. We thought we'd be staying at a modest, comfortable and well-appointed room but my friends and I were unpleasantly surprised at our digs for the weekend and thought it outlandish we were paying $200/night for each room - $800 total for a weekend with two rooms. It seemed vastly different and were very small as opposed to what the pictures depicted. I did see they plan to renovate through other feedback the hotel has given so maybe it will improve. Speaking with some locals at a bar about the experience a day later, they chuckled knowingly and recommended for us to stay at the Rabbit Ears Motel next time. I think we'll be doing that instead.
